About the role:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant with the potential to grow into the role of Chief Financial Officer. If you love numbers and accuracy, this is the job for you. You'll keep our finances healthy, ensure compliance, and provide insights to drive our business forward. Plus, you’ll manage the finances of our three international offices—think of it as a global treasure hunt with spreadsheets. If you're ready to level up and become our future CFO, we want you!
What You'll Do:
- Make sure our finances are in the order
- Oversee and manage accounts receivable and payable to ensure they are up-to-date
- Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting
- Compile balance sheets and Profit and Loss (PnL) statements for tax preparation in relevant jurisdictions
- Efficiently manage expenses to ensure accurate allocation and tracking
- Actively look for the areas that need to be improved
- Process ad-hoc accounting entries for transactions such as netting, VAT statements, fines, among others
- Prepare year-end reports and execute End of Year (EoY) transactions
Must Have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
- A positive, can-do attitude combined with strong time management skills—you’ll prioritize tasks and decide what's important and urgent.
- Proficiency in English is a must. Additional language skills in Dutch, Czech, or Greek will be considered a plus
- Familiarity with EU VAT regulations
- The ability to build strong professional relationships and understand people's needs.
Nice to have:
- Experience with International Accounting
- Knowledge of Odoo is big plus
- Previous experience in working with emerging startups
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
- Multitasking ability
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex financial data
